Linolit ® grinding and polishing pads are consumable diamond tools for grinding and polishing machines. Our company develops and manufactures a wide range of diamond tools, which allows you to perform a full cycle of work from rough grinding to final polishing of concrete and stone floors, concrete tiles and concrete-mosaic floors and terrazzo.

Linolit ® grinding and polishing pads differ by the degree of granularity of the diamond segments and, depending on the degree of binder rigidity, are used at different stages of surface processing.

Pads wear depends on the hardness of the surface to be processed: the harder the surface, the faster the wear occurs. Therefore, in the process of work, the binder that binds diamond grains should also wear out, so that blunted diamonds be removed (drop out) in a timely manner, and new sharp diamonds be opened, on the contrary. The wear rate of the binder depends primarily on abrasiveness of the material being processed. That is why for grinding and polishing of different surfaces, a different combination of types of binder and diamond powder is required.

When selecting pads, it is necessary to know the brand of the concrete base; based on this, a binder of the required pad rigidity is selected. These two parameters determine the resource and performance of a diamond consumable tool.

  •  Ultra-soft  – diamond pads with ultra-soft binder, designed for processing of concrete surfaces of grades M500 and above; also suitable for processing of surfaces of granite, marble, mosaic and terrazzo.
  •  Soft  – diamond pads with soft binder, designed for processing of concrete surfaces of M300 – M600 grades.
  •  Medium   – diamond pads with medium binder, designed for processing of concrete surfaces of M200 – M300 grades.
  •  Hard  – diamond pads with rigid binder, designed for processing of concrete surfaces of grades M200 and below.

IMPORTANT! If a diamond pad is chosen incorrectly relative to the hardness of concrete, then its consumption will be minimal. If the binder is chosen too rigid, it will wear out slower than diamonds, which will cause a decrease in productivity due to insufficient exposure of diamonds. And, on the contrary, if the binder is chosen too soft, then its wear will be too fast and unable to withstand the pressure, the binder will fall out of the diamond system without having worked out its resource. The binder should wear out in proportion to the wear of the diamond grains.

Thus, for grinding concrete, depending on the purposes, it is necessary to select the most suitable diamond tool. Thanks to the correct selection, grinding and polishing will be most efficient and high-quality.
